New Year's Resolutions 2021

Hey everyone, HAPPY NEW YEAR!! 

I know I am so grateful that 2020 is over, and 2021 is here. Although life hasn’t changed much, I am excited for new beginnings in the new year. 

Each year I create goals for the new year that I wish to accomplish. In my hospitality courses in college, one of the principles that was ingrained in my mind was SMART goals. This stands for Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Time-based. 

I try to choose realistic goals that I can accomplish. 

Here are my 2021 goals:


  • January: walk 310,000 steps to kickstart weight loss
  • Reach goal weight of 150lbs (need to lose 18lbs)
  • Up my daily water intake, beginning with at least 24oz of water a day
  • Stick with weekly meal planner 
  • January don’t eat out at fast food/restaurants (help the budget and weight loss)


  • Pass my CMP exam
  • Continue career shadowing
  • Increase productivity
  • Attack self fears of not being good enough
  • Have morning time before work
  • Have better focus and concentration at work
  • Cut down idle chatter 
  • Bring lunch daily to work


  • Make $100 for Google Adsense 
  • Post 1-2 new blog posts a week 
  • Make a profit 
  • Develop YouTube
  • Spend half (or less) of 2020’s blog expenditures
  • Make at least 12 new cookie orders
  • Learn how to take cookie pics


  • Pay off remainder of 5yr car loan approx $2,800
  • Use Fetch Rewards app after shopping with physical receipts
  • Invest in 2-3 stocks
  • Save $50,000 by December 31, 2021
  • Follow monthly budget 


  • Complete 40 day pray for husband challenge (Jan-Feb)
  • Pray with husband every night and read the Bible together once a week
  • Give God my worries and not put so much care into comments or approval from others
  • Host a Bible study in our home at least 3 times
  • Join a small group


  • Be consistent with cleaning cats’ litter boxes
  • Be consistent with weekly tank water changes
  • Develop a laundry system that works
  • Finish backyard makeover
  • Have an empty kitchen sink every night


  • Have friends and family over more
  • Touch base more with out of town friends 
  • Increase motivational/encouraging words to family 
  • Small acts of kindness to neighbors
