Hi Mama, whether you're expecting your first baby or you've been through this season several times before, I'm so glad you're here. If you are like me, once you enter motherhood, time for yourself takes a back seat. That includes time to take care of your skin, hair and appearance. In today’s blog post, I am going to share some quick, easy beauty hacks for busy moms with little time.
Easy At Home Manicure
Ok ladies, I can’t be the only one here who struggles with painting my nails. Every time I would paint my nails, the left hand would be decent, while the right hand looked horrible. I’m the kinda gal if I don’t master something the first few attempts I give up trying! It was fun getting my nails done, but $40 every 2-4 weeks is a lot of upkeep for me. I found the perfect solution for me, at home DIY manicure by Dashing Diva. Their gel nail stickers are the cutest and everyone is shocked when I tell them they are stickers! They are hardy and can take a beating, which I love because they last just as long as the nail salon.

Two in One SPF Sunscreen and Glowy Primer
Do you remember the face-contour makeup trend where women would put a thousand layers of foundation, bronzer, highlighter on their face? Don’t get me wrong, it was impressive and it is amazing what can be done with makeup. But as a busy mom, to me it is just not practical to put on so many layers of makeup. One thing I have heard over the years by Dermatologists is that daily sunscreen is essential. If you haven’t guessed yet, I am a lover of minimal and basic makeup/skincare routines so duo anything is a win for me! I love Supergoop! Glowscreen it is a sunscreen and a glowy primer. After putting it on my skin has a warm shine to it. It is definitely on the premium beauty end in terms of the cost, but when it comes to sunscreen, I don’t want to mess around, so it is an investment for me.
No Time for a Med Spa? Try This At Home Facial
I love The Ordinary line, as they offer so many affordable skin care products that are amazing! I have had a few IPL treatments in my life, only one while having kids and I can honestly say the time and pain is not worth it for me anymore. I rather do a quick, 10 minute facial peel at home once the kids are asleep, and gradually see the results rather than do a painful IPL that might give me faster results to knock off some sun damage and from my face. I have some lingering sunspots and an acne scar that won’t go away so I bought AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution by The Ordinary to do a few at home facials.

Stopping into Trader Joe’s Pick up This with your Citrus
Trader Joe’s sells Vitamin C serum which is a must have, for $10! My friend who is an esthetician recommended Trader Joe’s serum to help brighten my complexion. Now that I am in my 30s, my skin cell turnover isn’t what it used to be, so I like to use Vitamin C serum to brighten any dark spots and even out my skin tone. Vitamin C supports collagen production, which can improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Lock in Moisture with Castor Oil
I love using Castor oil on my face. Not only does it condition my eyebrows and lashes, but it also locks in moisture. Just put on your favorite face gel (mine is the Hydro gel from Neutrogena) or serum of choice, then add some Castor oil to your face for a dewy look. If you are a little apprehensive of putting Castor oil on your face before walking out the door, try putting it on in the evening as you are winding down for bed. I sometimes wear it to bed, and I just put a towel over my pillow to prevent my pillow from getting greasy.
Don’t Forget Collagen!
I love putting collagen in my coffee, because it is easy and I can’t taste it. Collagen has become one of my favorite simple wellness habits because it may help support healthy skin, joints, hair, nails, and overall protein intake. Since our bodies naturally produce less collagen as we get older, many people add a collagen supplement to their daily routine to help support skin elasticity, hydration, and joint comfort. I love that it's easy to mix into coffee, smoothies, or baked goods, making it a simple way to add a little extra nutrition to a busy day. While it's not a magic fix, taking collagen consistently may help support healthy aging from the inside out.
Make Taking Daily Vitamins Fun
I have been obsessed with Olly vitamins for years! First, gummy worms/gummy bears are my favorite kind of candy (I love chocolate, but that is in its own league!) I’ve never liked having to swallow vitamins daily, so when I found Olly gummy vitamins, I was so excited. I love that they have so many different types of vitamins to choose from. At one point, I was using almost every type they offered haha.. Every day I look forward to taking my vitamins. When it comes to beauty vitamins, I take OLLY Flawless Complexion, OLLY Glowing Skin, and OLLY Heavenly Hair. The gummies taste amazing and it makes it so easy to prioritize vitamins for your hair and skin health!
In Closing
Motherhood is beautiful, but let's be honest—it can also be exhausting. Between diaper changes, school pickups, meal prep, and trying to keep the house somewhat under control, it's easy to put yourself at the very bottom of the priority list. The good news is that taking care of yourself doesn't have to mean spending hours at a salon or following a complicated 15-step skincare routine. Sometimes the little things, like putting on a fun set of nail stickers, adding collagen to your morning coffee, or taking a few minutes for a face mask after the kids are asleep, can help you feel a little more refreshed and confident.
