Copycat Disneyland Mickey Mouse Rice Crispy Treats

Jump To Recipe

We recently took a trip to Disneyland for the first time as a family—and doing Disneyland with three kids under three was definitely an experience we’ll never forget! Between packing everything we could possibly need, navigating the parks with little ones, and trying to take in all the Disney magic, it was a very full and memorable day.

Of course, one of the highlights of any Disneyland trip is the food and treats. There are so many fun and delicious options throughout the parks, but one treat that caught our eye was the classic Mickey Mouse Rice Crispy Treat. There’s just something about eating a Mickey-shaped treat at Disneyland that makes it feel extra special!

After we got home, I knew I wanted to try making our own version. Not only would it be a fun way to recreate a little bit of the Disney magic at home, but I also wanted to make a dairy-free version so my husband could enjoy them too.

These Copycat Disneyland Mickey Mouse Rice Crispy Treats are surprisingly simple to make and are perfect for getting the whole family involved. The base is made with crispy rice cereal and melted marshmallows, then shaped into adorable Mickey Mouse ears. Once the treats have set, you can dip them in melted chocolate and customize them however you like.

One of my favorite things about making these at home is that you aren't limited to the exact version you find at Disneyland. You can make them completely your own! Add M&M’s, sprinkles, mini chocolate chips, crushed cookies, or your favorite candies for different flavors and textures. They would also be so fun to customize for birthdays, holidays, Disney movie nights, or a Disney-themed party.

And if you need them to be dairy-free, it’s easy to make a few ingredient swaps. Use your favorite dairy-free chocolate and dairy-free ingredients where needed. Just be sure to check the labels of your marshmallows, crispy rice cereal, chocolate, and toppings to make sure they fit your dietary needs.

These would also make such a fun activity to do with kids. My little ones loved the idea of making Mickey treats at home after our Disneyland trip, and I love that it gives us another way to remember our first family trip to the parks.

Whether you’ve recently visited Disneyland or you're just looking for a fun Disney-inspired dessert, these Mickey Mouse Rice Crispy Treats are an easy way to bring a little bit of the magic home. They're simple, customizable, and can easily be adapted to be dairy-free—making them a treat the whole family can enjoy!
