1 cup

Ingredients

1 lb strawberries

3 Tbs chia seeds

½ cup water

1 Tbs maple syrup or honey

Instructions

Start by cutting Strawberries into small pieces.

Add your cut strawberries into a pot and add in a ½ cup of water to the pot and give everything a little bit of a stir.

Turn up the heat! Bring the strawberries to a boil, this will help break them down giving you that nice jam consistency.

Once the entire pot is at a rolling boil reduce the heat to low and let simmer. This should take about 5-6 minutes on high heat.

With the heat still on low, take a potato masher and just smash down any little lumps. This should be easy as the strawberries are nice and soft after being cooked.

Add in the 3 Tbs of chia seeds.

Add in 1 Tbs of maple syrup

After you’ve stirred everything one last time, place in a 16 ounce jar.

Place in the fridge to cool for at least 30 minutes before consuming so the chia seeds have time to gel.
